Hi Muthoni

Thanks for your comment! It's interesting regarding the whole price point and whether to do it for free or not.

Ultimately it boils down to your audience and what they would pay for. What is the outcome they will get by purchasing your course.

I personally prefer the high ticket model - otherwise you have to sell a LOT of courses. Also I'm not a fan of cheap... it can sometimes devalue a product. But again it's a very personal thing and the key is to focus on your audience, what do they want and what type of budget do they fit into.

I love this.

The only thing I would add to it (or defer from the article) is making your first course FREE for a beginner.

After a little bit of research following this formula and asking around as well, I don't think this is the best strategy to follow.

I would say come up with a course that solves one problem entirely and price it for less than $30. This makes it valuable to the consumer (the course has more value than the price tag on it) but also frames you as a business in the consumer's mind.

Which I think is the most important bit. You would not want to attract a bunch of freebie hunters who never take action.

Of course once you have established yourself, you can increase the price of the course (remember it was worth more than the $30 when you created it) or you can add it as a bonus to some of your future courses or now make it a FREE course at this point.

At the point where you have already established yourself as a business. As a subject matter expert. When you have more courses in your line of work. Then people will see value in the FREE course.

An example... A free course from Jon Loomer about Facebook is more valuable than someone who is simply starting and you have never heard of.

What do you think?

Hey,

Now-a-days, we can easily find several online courses on same niche floating on internet. It proves that online courses and e-learning industry are growing day by day and taking huge shape on internet.

Kajabi is a genius hosted platform for marketing, selling and delivering information products online. It is great platform for hosting content, like videos, audios and text documents, which are delivered using some proven templates, such as the video squeeze page and sales page for marketing the content, and a membership community area for delivering the actual product. Eventually, thanks for sharing these amazing services with us and they really sounds effective with their advance features and have potential to maximize productivity level.

With best wishes,

Good question Jean-Christophe. Zippy Courses is the cheapest from the list although sometimes cheap isn't always the best choice. I would take a look at which features you need and whether you'll need to have multiple tools or can find one that fits all your requirements.

Hi Lilach,
Which one do you suggest for newbies? If you want to start to see if giving online courses is a great choice for you, and if you're on a budget, what would you pick ?
