Essentially, you have to use specific and consistent anchor texts to make the plugin useful, which I always considered bad for both user experience and definitely SEO…

I am just glad that people got value out of it.
It is sometimes useful to just open the flood gates and see what comes in, and that from people out in the trenches trying stuff all the time (I can’t remember how many plugins I have used, especially with clients all the time).

And this was also enlightening to me as I was not aware of all of these plugins, so it was kinda selfish too :> gave me some to check out. It is almost impossible to keep up!

Yoast is complex, but if you stick to the basic plugin functionality in the post it is pretty helpful.
Of course if you want to dive deep, you can do that and even integrate Webmaster Tools (which I only did this morning actually!)

WP Optimize is great for cleaning out your Database, which I have done but still need to redo as it is getting out of control when I test plugins sometimes (need a separate site for that I think)

So thank you for putting all of this information together. CommentLuv Premium is also on the to-do list. I have to say using WordPress SEO from Yoast gives me what I call a popsicle headache – confusing, so I use All-In-One-SEO. I made need to re-think that after reading this post for sure. I highly recommend anyone using LeadPages to use their plugin as it allows you to use your domain name instead of theirs which is cleaner and helps with your branding efforts. Thanks to you and all the contributors for putting together this great resource! That’s certainly a lot of plugins! There are a lot here that I haven’t heard of, but it’s SumoMe that’s stood out to me, so I will be learning more about that.

I’m already using Yoast’s SEO plugin and Pretty Link, both of which I wouldn’t be without. Although I don’t have the premium version of CommentLuv per se, I have the separate components that make up the premium version, so I do have the essential workings of it. Again, CommentLuv is something I wouldn’t be without and I think it’s good addition to a blogger’s arsenal.

I’ve made sure to save this post to Evernote for future reference! Thanks again, bud! 🙂
