Today I use BackWPup, and it works great for backing everything up to Dropbox. However, I’ve never tested the restore process, so not sure how difficult that would be. Given your write-up here, I may have to take a look at BackupBuddy, since it seems to have an easy restore feature. May help me sleep better at night.

You know..? Last my WordPress blog was hacked and I lost 72 articles of my blog post because I careless about the security and not yet to backup my blog.

You know..? it is the nightmare of my blogging life. I try to find some security and backup plugin, and now I am currently using WPbackup.

Getting hacked is the one thing I really fear, honestly. And I’m alays searching for a really good backup plugin. Like you, I use to use, WPBackupToDropbox, but overtime, I didn’t like it. Right now I’m trying UpDraft, and if that doesn’t work for me, then I’ll probally go with Backup Buddy.

It is amazing what is floating around on these servers!

Having a backup is critical. Especially with some of the problems I had in the past. I’ve started using BackWPUp about a month ago and it’s been working fine for me. I back it up offsite. So far my site hasn’t crashed and I hear that you can easily restore the backups you do have with this plugin. But it’s good to know the others that are out there!

I used Backup Buddy for a while but then I started just exporting my database manually for security reasons and got rid of the plugin.

I know how unfortunate a hacked or deleted website can be so I do need to implement a solution pronto so thanks for the reminder.

I will see which one should I get, I don’t want to pay for a backup solution right now and have a few different sites to maintain so I think I’m going to be looking at a free plugin.

I know the importance about this and shouldn’t be trying to save money but right now every single cent counts (long story).

Anyway, cool article man, this is my first time here but I loved how you reviewed all these different options which is something I have been too lazy to do myself LOL

Nice to hear some confirmation of my experience too.
Backup Buddy seems to be one of the best and more professional options out there.
With other plugins we can afford the cheap or free options, but with backup I no longer take the risk!
