Of course you don’t have to agree with everything. It is about design after all. There are no right or wrong answers.
It is all about impressions and experience. And I try to give as much useful advice as I can from what I have seen on the web over the years.

Even if you only implement half of what I recommend, then you will certainly be taking your blog a long way towards success.

That seems a little funny. You had offered to review some sites, I said “choose me”, and you did. I wanted a review so I could continue to grow as a blogger and become better. It doesn’t matter if I am blogging or doing Accounting or working on techy projects, I always want to do better. But here I was nervous. Funny.

I appreciate your review. You put so much effort in to it and I am thankful for that.

I am going to reread and reread your advice and start working through the items. There are some things that pop out for me and I am going to concentrate on right away.

I have to tell you I agree with you on the header. I had actually just changed it. It was one of those cases where I read posts that said to add info here and to add info there. But I agree with you, sometimes too much is really too much. My theme is to simplify and I think by eliminating some items from the header, it will make it much better.

And I agree with you on the width of the content area. I am using the Genesis Prose theme and I actually emailed them about this when I first got Prose. I like Prose and I like Genesis, but they were of no help. So, I really need to revisit this.

The coffee thing . . . hmmm. I am thinking. I am thinking. My purpose for the coffee was to take technology to a different level. I have read so many techy articles that, even though I like technology, they were not fun to read. They were actually exhausting. So, when I started my website I wanted to have the message “this doesn’t have to give us a headache”. When I am working on something tough, I get my warm coffee, take a deep breath, and go step by step and try to calm down. So, I wanted to make a picture like that. But I see your point and I am thinking about this one. But even if I disagree, it gets me thinking. Thank you for that.

There are many things that you said that I am thinking “Oh my goodness, I missed that one”, or “oh I thought about that, I need to move that up my to do list”. So, again, I am going to go through this post over and over again. The ads on the sidebar — yes, I think they should go.

The main one that will be difficult for me is the highlighting. The reason is that it is my “style”. I have written so much documentation and I actually use that style in “real life”. So, if I am teaching someone how to use a software package, yes, if you look at my Word documents, there are the highlighted words meaning to click and there is the italics/underline for type something here. So, I was hoping that that would become my known style. But, your opinion gives me something to think about. It may be what works in “real” life doesn’t work in blogging. I don’t know. It’s something to think about.

But, I like many of these suggestions. I do Ashley! Again, thank you very much for reviewing my site.
