Wordpress is indeed a a very impressive platform
Sometimes the plugins can be a bit of a mess, but if you stick with those that are recommended and tested then you can find some gems!

Very usefull list of wordpress plugins,i use some of those listed like BackupBuddy,Contact Form 7,Yoast WordPress SEO and all are great plugins,this is why i love Worpress due to very large community will always see a plugin or widget that encourage to overcome any problem that may occur when using this CMS platform.

Sorry to hear you had so much problems with CommentLuv, maybe your blog is too well known? maybe you should try it with the new anti-spam plugin, it seems to be a big spam stopper.

Hi Ashley,

This is such a huge list of plugins and I use quite a bit of them or have used them in the past. One of the ones that I can’t live without is BackupBuddy.

I love the fact knowing that my site is automatically being backed up according to the schedule I set up. I’ve lost my site once because I didn’t have a backup…there’s no worse feeling than that.

I have recently removed a lot of the plugins I had installed on my site to make it load faster. But that’s one of the reasons I love WP. The ability to add plugins.

Hello Ashley !
I have used all the free versions of the plugins that you’ve shared through this list . As of now , i’m using Disqus,backup to dropbox from all the plugins mentioned in the list . I had to disable commentluv after my blog was bombarded with 100’s of spam comments. My theme comes with an inbuilt contact-form system hence i don’t use contact forum plugins . Thanks for sharing the list !

Nice list of free and premium plugin… I really like it.. You have gathered most of those plugin which every bloggers are using. Through this type of list, any newbie and even pro bloggers can easily choose best plugins for their blog… Keep writing such stuff for us..
